AROUND

Tor Pignattara is a neighborhood full of Street Art with murals along Via della Marranella and not only!

The West area of the district offers a youthful atmosphere, with lively cafes and bars frequented by students of the Sapienza University, the heart of Rome’s nightlife.

The name Torpignattara derives from the Mausoleum of Saint Helena, mother of Constantine, of which the remains are still visible. The dome of the mausoleum, no longer visible today, had as its base two concentric circles of amphorae called by the Romans "pignatte" that, from the Middle Ages, began to be more visible. So it was that, slowly, the mausoleum became the "tower of the pignatte" from which, in fact, the name of the neighborhood derives. Near the Mausoleum you can visit the catacombs of Saints Marcellinus and Peter.

The accommodation is about 5 km from the Colosseum, easily accessible by public transport. Once in the symbolic place of Rome it is easy to visit the open-air museum that this city offers. In fact, you can reach the Roman Forum, the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, Piazza Navona and many other places symbol of the eternal city.
